May, June, and July, were busy months for the publicity team of Mablethorpe QAVS National Coastwatch team. They were active collecting, and making themselves known to the wider community of Lincolnshire.

Their first outing was to Grimsby’s Tesco store where a collection was held. Barry came along with Harry, the team’s mascot, taking centre stage.

On 8th July, our team  moved on to the Emergency Services Rescue Day at 7 Lakes Country Park, Crowle. Last year the outing was unfortunately rained off, but this year the weather was in our favour.

We met up with all the other rescue services and more volunteer groups, getting our name out into the wider world of Search and Rescue, locally and nationally. This time Harry met up with the other Newfoundland Rescue Dogs and watched as they went through their paces “rescuing ” people from the Lakes.

Then it was on to our local Cooperative Store in Mablethorpe, where a very successful cash collection was made, followed by a trip to the village fete at Manby/Grimoldby – home of the East Lindsay Council Offices.
